On April 14–15, 2027, the National Gemmological Association will host a major conference in Moscow, bringing together leading industry experts to discuss the current state of the modern gemstone industry.
Gemstones – with their immense diversity, richness of hues, and extraordinary optical effects – have long become an integral part of the jewelry industry. They inspire jewelers, adorn the showcases of brand boutiques, capture attention on social media, and resonate with jewelry connoisseurs around the world.
The central theme of the NGA conference will be an exploration of the processes shaping today’s gemstone industry. Members of the National Gemmological Association, gemmologists, mineralogists, jewelry industry professionals, collectors and gemstone enthusiasts, representatives of regulatory bodies, and industry media are all invited to participate.
In October 2025, the NGA already hosted a large-scale International Scientific and Practical Conference, «The Gem and Jewellery Industry Today and Tomorrow». The presentations covered a wide range of industry topics: key trends in the international gemstone market, the significance of stone origin, the principles of 21st-century marketing, directions in international gemmological research, and much more.
The conference was broadcast online in both Russian and English. The speakers included leading industry specialists from Russia and abroad.
This format continues the tradition of major international gemmological forums, including the GIA Symposium in the USA, the ICA Congress, and the IGC.
